Public Speaking

Anyone who knows me knows that I can’t get more than five minutes into a conversation without mentioning my favorite hobby —  being a loud and proud public speaker as a member of Toastmasters International, Inc.! Toastmasters is a worldwide organization that amplifies its members’ speech writing, public speaking, and leadership skills through a network of clubs across the globe – and my club, The Presidents Club, is one of the best in the country! I have been a member for four years, and have served the club as Vice President for the past three years (2020-2023).

 

One of our newest members recently joked that I was so involved that they should be paying me a salary (P.S.- I agree! Someone send them a letter!). As Vice President, in addition to overseeing all club operations (including scheduling, onboarding members, showrunning meetings, and reporting), I also plan and execute all of our all of our club events and educational programs, which is one of my FAVORITE parts of the gig!

 

I truly cannot imagine my life without Toasmasters. It has led me to incredible professional speaking, networking, and even career opportunites that have impacted my life for the better - PLUS I get to call some of the smartest, savviest, and most talented people in Atlanta my friends. Needless to say, I am beyond grateful to have found a platform in which I am encouraged to be my most creative, energetic, and expressive self.  See below to check out a couple of my favorite  achievements from my time in the club thus far!
